Inspired in part by Brian Silvestro's M5 post, here is how I rank the F-Bodies in my mind. For those not in the know, this includes Camaros and Firebirds from '67-'02. We'll keep it to the top 10 to keep things simple.
1. 1973-'74 Pontiac Trans Am SD-455:
2. 1967-'68 Pontiac Firebird:
3. 1967-1969 Chevrolet Camaro:
4. 1976 Pontiac Trans Am (preferably with the later snowflake wheels) ((This is my dream car, last of the "Big Cube 'Birds"))
5. 1977-'78 Pontiac Trans Am "Bandit":
6. 1987-'89 Pontiac Trans Am GTA:
7. 1998-'02 Pontiac Trans Am (LS1):
8. 1970-'73 Chevrolet Camaro
9. 1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am (Then-fastest American production car):
10. 1981 Pontiac Trans Am (Good handling, but needs an engine transplant):
Honorable Mention:
1971 Pontiac Pegasus - Concept car with a V12 Ferrari heart

Bonus for including Pegasus, I guess this is a variant of #4 but Rockford maneuver.

The 78 should rank higher than the 76 because it has a cooler front end and bigger T-tops
Here is my list:
1. The 78 TA and 78-81 Camaro Z28 (the 77 isn't included because they had smaller t-tops. Unfortunately Pontiac changed the front end in 79, while Chevy kept the Camaro design the same until 81). The 2.5-gen Z28 has some really cool side graphics as well, especially the white cars with blue graphics. Also, the Camaro comes with amber rear turn signals. I'd put an early 70s split bumper font on a 78-81 Z28 if I could.
2. 91-92 Trans Am GTA (among the most awesome tail lights ever)
3. the turbo 89
4. the 98-02, both the LS1 and the V6 versions
5. the 80-81 turbo Trans Am, if you put a 77/78 front end on it
The worst: the 4th-gen LT1

Haha, the split-bumper barely made it on, because I don't really care for it, and there is a HUGE amount of personal bias in this list. It is on for the tail lights. I like them. And because everyone else drools over them.

Not a bad list. The '76 ranks higher than the '78 because my dad had a '76 back in the day, and I actually think its front end looks possibly better than the '78. It's a bit more classic with its non-rectangular headlights. But I have to agree that the '78 is far more iconic.
My list was almost entirely personal bias and opinion, so I knew there would be a lot of things people would take issue with. Like the '81 Trans Am's inclusion at all, or how low the '89 Turbo ranked (I just don't think I'd want the turbo V6 myself, even if it is faster than the V8).

Haha, that's just a Firebird though, not a Trans Am. The base Camaros were kind of funny looking too in comparison to the top models.

And yet the were not confused for a Chevy Monza, unless you were drunk.

I guess I'll put my top ten f-bodies down.
1- 67-68 Camaro RS, the meanest front end of a muscle car
2- 67-69 std Camaros
3- 70-73 slit bumper camaro
4- 82-92 Camaros preferably the 82-83 cross fire injection Z28
5- 98-02 Camaro SS and Trans Am WS6
6- 78-81 Camaro Z28
7- 67-69 Firebird
8- Bandit Trans am
9- 97 Lt1 Camaro- one year only oddball
10- really any fbody especially camaro
My list is heavy Camaro. I've owned 3, still have 2, and my family has had many. Never have been a huge Pontiac fan.

It might have all been marketing, but I thought they had a option level that was like, a base model with the top motor. Some sort of racing series, can't think of the name right now.
I'll admit that later on it was indeed mostly decals and dreams, but there was a point where they were racing the things and sold them appropriately. In my mind anyway.

I'm kinda biased against Camaros, haha. The split-bumper was lucky to get on the list!

Fair enough. For some reason the IROC has always been my favourite.
